Fiber Cement Siding to CMU Substrates

The Aerico® 90 system blind nails Hardiplank® lap siding to concrete masonry units at 120 psi to 150 psi air pressure, eliminating costly wood furring strips, With equal ease it nails plywood underlayment and wood nailers, (sleepers) to concrete substrates for sand and finish hardwood flooring. In addition, the Aerico® 90 system is widely used to fasten wood based panels to maximum 3/16" steel frames in manufactured housing and modular building facilities.

Fiber Cement Siding To Steel Studs | Members up to 16ga

ET&F®’s pneumatically installed fasteners are recognized in ICC ES Evaluation Service reports for attaching James Hardie brand lap siding and vertical siding to steel studs 20ga to 16ga thickness. For blind nailing lap siding select the Model 510 tool and Panelfast® AGS series of pins. For face nailing lap siding and vertical panel siding use the E45 tool and sheet collated pins to eliminate unsightly “flagging” of collation residue under the head of the fasteners.

Floor & Roof Sheathing to Steel |Members up to 12ga

ET&F® offers three code recognized, labor savings systems for fastening wood based panels to steel supports. The ET&F® Model 500 system was the first pneumatic tool to successfully fasten plywood to steel framing 14 gauge and lighter. This system remains the lowest cost, fastest product on the market for this application. For more versatility, select the Model 510 system with the larger headed Panelfast® fasteners which also can be used for fastening DensGlass, fiber cement siding and wall sheathing subject to seismic loads. For really tough applications requiring fastening wood panels to 12ga supports, select the new E45 tool and sheet collated pins.

EXTERIOR TRIM TO STEEL | Members up to 14 gauge

The Model 210 system is a logical extension of the market created by the Model 110A trim tool. Contractors using the Model 110A expressed a need for a tool with even more power to handle larger diameter and longer trim fasteners to attach thicker fiber cement boards, wood furring and drywall track to concrete masonry units, poured concrete and heavier gauges of steel framing. Model 210 trim pins are available in .100 x 3/4" through .100 x 2 1/2" in 40 pin strip collation and routinely attach Hardie XLD® 5/4 trim or wood trim to steel framing 14 gauge and lighter. Select the Model 210T for trim pins up to 3" long.

INTERIOR TRIM TO STEEL | Members up to 14ga

Steel framed structures have long presented a fastening problem for trim contractors. Traditional finish nails will not penetrate most load bearing steel members and regular hardened fasteners are not suitable for finish work. The ET&F® Model 110A pneumatic fastening system solves the problem easily and inexpensively. Trimfast® hardened steel fasteners with finish nail size heads are collated in 50 pin strips.

WALL SHEATHING TO STEEL MEMBERS | Members up to 12 gauge

ET&F® offers three code recognized, labor savings systems for fastening wood based panels and DensGlass to steel supports. For assemblies with wood based panels subject to wind and gravity loads choose the Model 500 system when the steel supports are 14ga and lighter. When these assemblies include steel studs up to 12ga, select the E45 system. When the wall assembly is designed to resist seismic loading with steel studs up to 14ga, use the Model 510 system. The Model 510 system can also be used when DensGlass is used as the wall sheathing.
